Domain renewal time…?

I just got a domain name renewal notice in the mail and thought to myself,  didn’t I purchase that domain for 5 years.  Crap, who is my registrar again?  Are you asking yourself these same questions?  Several of our customers have and after a bit of digging we realized the notice they received did not come from their true registrar.

Embed a YouTube Channel on your Website.

Thought I’d share this because it took me about 2 hours to get things figured out.  I was using a gadget before but after about an hour of searching I found this method that only took like 2 minutes and thought I’d share!

Wordpress is our friend.

When we started to employ content management systems to give our clients the ability to update their websites we built them from scratch.  That was hard.  And it left us with a bunch of glitches to work out a the end.  Next we tried FCK editor.  A much better solution but still not as user friendly or flexible as we needed to meet the mark.  Then we found Wordpress and we’re not going back.

Why some people can’t open your Word Documents.

The new version of Microsoft Word, 2007 saves files with a .docx file extension.  But older versions of Word (97-2003) have a hard time opening this file type.  To solve this issue you need to “save it back” to an older file type using following steps:

1. Go to “Save As” instead of “Save” then
2. Click the drop down for “Save as Type” and choose “Word 97-2003 Document”

GoDaddy Email Forwarding

Need your emails to be forwarded from your GoDaddy email address to another?

Here’s how!

If ever you need to add an email address to a forwarding account, you’ll just need to go to www.godaddy.com, log in to the email section with your GoDaddy username and password and then click on the “Email Forwarding Plans” link. To add an email to this forwarding account, you’ll just click on the “Manage Account” link under the Control Panel headline in the gray box. It will open up another window called Email Control Center and you’ll see an “add” button (it’s orange) and you’ll just click that and then type in the name of the email address you’d like your GoDaddy email account to forward the messages to.

It might sound confusing, but we promise it’s not! Once you go to the website you’ll see that it’s pretty straightforward. This is not a service that we offer for those of you who do use GoDaddy as your hosting site, so we can’t do it for you, but these instructions should help you get it accomplished in no time at all!

How to Create a Facebook Badge

What are these badge things anyway?

Well we just learned about them and it appears that they are mini HTML inserts that let people know you have a facebook page.   You can use these in your email signature, blog or place them on your website.  We suggest placing them on your website over your email signature but whatever floats your boat is fine.
