Thanks for Attending

Tech Summer Camp Presented ByA big, warm, sincere thank you goes out to everyone who attended Tech Summer Camp 2010, especially those who were able to make it to multiple sessions!

We enjoyed leading the sessions and having a chance to visit with you and answer your questions about Email Marketing, Google Apps, Website Planning, Virus Safety and Wireless Internet. Thank you to Tranquility Internet and Personalized Computers for also leading/hosting the sessions. We hope we shed some light on these topics and you were able to get the answers you wanted.  Maybe you made a few connections too. We hope so.

If you weren’t able to attend one of the sessions and would like more information and notifications about our sessions let us know and we’ll be sure to keep you in the loop about future events.

Thanks again for making our events a success!

How do I incorporate my Facebook page with my website’s blog, should I rehash the same posts?

The short answer is yes. Blogging and posting on Facebook are great ways to drive traffic to your website. Blogging helps build content so users can easily find your site in a search. Facebook can keep viewers informed when you’ve added information to your site, allowing those interested in the topic to click through seamlessly. By announcing new content on your site through Facebook you’re not “rehashing” a post, you’re simply letting fans know you’ve added content. Consider adding a caption to the link to your post to generate more interest. Adding a photo to the post also calls attention to the link when displayed in a Facebook newsfeed or page.

Don’t misinterpret this as meaning that the only information you should share on Facebook are links to blog posts. The essence of social media is interaction. It may be difficult to generate the online relationships you’re looking for by just displaying links to blog posts. Consider planning a mixture of content to share though Facebook to stimulate interest and build relationships; include updates about new blog posts in your mix.
