Having trouble viewing new websites in Internet Explorer?
When we found out that Google stopped supporting IE 7 in 2011, we decided it was time to dump it too. If you’re an avid Internet Explorer user, don’t worry! We still support versions 8 through 10.
You can bring your internet activities up-to-date by downloading Internet Explorer 8 here. Even if your browser is up-to-date, you may need to change the settings to make new sites display correctly. We have a surprisingly simple, 4 step solution for you.
1. Start by opening Internet Explorer.
2. Press F12. A window will pop up that allows you to change the version in which your Internet Explorer browser displays websites.
Depending on what version of Internet Explorer you are using, you will need to change one of two settings to get your browser to display correctly.
3. Click on Browser Mode in the menu across the top of the window and choose the latest version of Internet Explorer.
4. Then, click on Document Mode and select the latest version there as well.
Hopefully, the website you are trying to view will go from looking off-kilter to fabulous as it did when we changed our settings while viewing Missouri Foundation for Medical Research’s new website.
