MayeCreate Design held their second HTML Boot Camp last week. Camp director Marie Newell gave the campers a first-hand look at how HTML works and how they are able to incorporate it into their website the correct way.

Campers wrote a letter ‘code’ home and by the end of camp were able to edit certain code to make it work correctly. While at camp, CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) was also defined and experimented with. CSS tells browsers how to display HTML elements such as colors and fonts.

Basic HTML tags were taught and discussed and here’s a sneak peak at a few of them:

  • Start your document <html>
  • Start and End your head and body:
    <head></head> and <body></body>
  • End your document </html>

Be sure to check out more HTML Boot Camp information here.
