While installing a NextGEN Gallery for one of our clients we discovered the most wonderful-amazing-fun plugin that we think many of you would enjoy:

NextGEN Public Uploader

This fancy plugin for WordPress would allow your visitors to upload images from the public side of your site to the gallery of your/their choice. No, the images don’t automatically display in your gallery because the images get marked as “excluded” until you have the chance to review them. It even sends you an email notification when new images are uploaded so you know you need to moderate them!

We think this plugin would be a great way for your audience/clients/users/customers/friends/family to interact with your website. You could designate a post or page to an event or theme and let your audience do the work for you. This way you’ll have images even if you forgot your camera or missed an important/funny/touching moment yourself.

This plugin does require NextGEN Gallery to work. So, if you’re interested in knowing more about the plugin itself click here, but if you’re interested in adding this feature to your website, find out what it would take by contacting us at info@mayecreate.com.
