Missouri Asphalt Pavement Association has a new home!
The Missouri Asphalt Pavement Association was founded in 1990 and is a proud representative of the asphalt industry in Missouri. Located in the heart of Missouri (Jefferson City), they provide support for MODOT in their efforts to keep the roads of Missouri looking good and operating efficiently. After all, who actually likes pot holes?
Dark isn’t always a bad thing.
We were able to do something a little out of our norm on this one by going for a overall darker color scheme. The deep purples in the site offset the bright accents used for the titles and buttons throughout. This balance almost resembles a road sign at night, only we make it look awesome and not blinding.

Game-Garb has a new home, and new site to show it
Game-Garb is a company located in New Franklin, MO that specializes in embroidery, rhinestones, silk screen, direct-to-garment and vinyl decoration techniques for apparel and accessories. They moved earlier this year to a new location and wanted a new site that reflected the professional level that the company strives for, as well as the excellent work that they do.
Professionals need a professional site
There is fine line between being boring and having a professional clean look and Game-Garb’s new site defiantly falls into the clean option: one, we don’t do boring, and two, why would you want dirty sportswear? The site itself has nice, warm grays with splashes of color to accent their custom logo. The colors, combined with the open feel and modern look of the site portray Game-Garb as the professional and awesome company they are.

On March 13, Google announced on it’s Official Blog that it would be phasing out Google Reader in its second spring cleaning. Google Reader is an RSS reading platform that was started in 2005 to help people keep up with the latest updates from their favorite websites. Its faithful user base will need to find an alternative by July 1, when Google Reader will be no more.

Salon Nefisa is a salon in downtown Columbia with a full range of services from hair care and natural nails to spa services including facials, body waxing and massage. They have a full team of wonderful people happy to help you. Between the great place and the helpful staff, they make for pretty awesome clients.
Hair styles change and get updates, why wouldn’t a website?
Salon Nefisa’s website has always been one of our favorites here at MayeCreate, but everything needs an update eventually. We kept the same look and feel of Salon Nefisa’s original site and brought it forward to today’s standards. For example, where the old site had a vertical navigation on the left side, we have created a horizontal navigation along the top of the website. We also did some updates to the lesser seen parts of the site, we converted the site from a static site to a full blown WordPress site! This will allow them more freedom to update and keep the site information current and relevant.

One of the top stories in the news this month has been the botnet attack currently taking place against WordPress sites. A botnet is endearingly known as a zombie army. It’s a group of internet programs or computers that communicate with each other over the web to carry out a task, typically without the user’s knowledge. In this case, the task is a brute-force attack on WordPress sites.
The Method
A brute-force attack is an attempt to log into an account by systematically trying thousands of passwords. A botnet is not necessary to carry out a brute-force attack, but using multiple computers avoids reaching a multiple attempt limit for logins and allows the attacker to try more password combinations. Over 90,000 unique IP addresses have been recorded in this brute-force attack.
The attackers are targeting WordPress websites that use default admin login names. The top five usernames being attempted are “admin,” “test,” “administrator,” “Admin,” and “root.” The top five passwords are “admin,” “123456,” ”111111,” “666666,” and “12345678.” Read More >
